I agree with the point that the selected articles are half truth in the website. But aren't they just unbiased by themselves. I did imagine myself in Somtow's shoe and begin to realise that there are 9 out of 10 articles which are biased to begin with. Even by posting biased comment, it does show how the news or articles are biased. I agree that the website should consist of articles mentioning all parties, but the number of such is very small. I don't think Somtow has many choices to pick.

Re the truth about thailand blog, there is that letter to Interpol. Among its other points, it says that: "25th October 2004: Thaksin ordered a massacre at Takbai, the Southern region of Thailand, causing thousands of deaths and ongoing conflicts. The killing drew international condemnation."

I've never heard anyone (outside of the Manager group, perhaps) allege that Thaksin ordered a massacre at Tak Bai, and never seen any evidence to that effect.

Unless some evidence (not a link to a youTube video)is offered, why should a fallacious accusation be posted on a website called Truth about Thailand? What kind of standards is it upholding?

Having just had a look at your new website, truth-about-thailand.com, my overwhelming feeling is one of great disappointment. You claim that the site will offer balance, but the articles that have been selected reveal strong bias and 'over-correct' the problems that they are meant to remedy. Essentially the website intensifies the flaws that were already manifest in your list of 'factual information' that you wrote in your initial critique on Dan Rivers. Many of the 'facts' in that list were themselves only half-truths and did not present the more complicated arguments from the other side. The unfortunate inference that some may make based on the 'information' you provide is that all of the arguments that are anti-government are merely superficial/emotive/blinkered, whereas all of the arguments on the others side are erudite and enlightened. If you want true balance on your new website, then please also include academic/considered articles that represent ALL the complexities, not just the complexities of one side. You may want to consider the three videos that have been posted on the newmandala website as a starting point.
